Lovett Store was born from seeing this demand first-hand and realising people enjoyed having a place where they could easily sell their unwanted items, but in the process also find some hidden gems to buy and add to their own wardrobes.

Option 1

DO IT YOURSELF

  • Rent a Rack - $280 for 2 weeks for up to 40 garments, 5 pairs of shoes and 2 bags. Jewellery and sunglasses can be sold as well.
  • You price your garments
  • You apply the price tags to your garments and organise your rack
  • We take 25% commission.

This is an option where you can self-serve and take control of your rack.

Consignment

We will take individual items - $15 an item and 50% commission.

All items need to be over $150 and we need to see them, either photo or in-store before we accept them. They can remain on the rack for 4 weeks.

Option 2

WE DO IT ALL

  • Rent a Rack - $280 for 2 weeks for up to 40 garments, 5 pairs of shoes  and 2 bags.
  • We  price the garments, you approve pricing
  • We place garments on the rack, steam them, tag them and can update the rack with new items if needed
  • We take 50% commission.

We get it - you’re busy! This option allows you to bring in your clothing items and we do the rest.

THINK ABOUT RESALE VALUE 

To support a circular economy, it can be useful to consider when you are initially purchasing clothes to always think about it’s resale value.  Buy well in the first place by investing in the best quality you can afford.  Later, when you tire of a garment, or you no longer have a use for it, you can resell it at a reasonable price.
On the other hand, if you purchase fast fashion, a garment has a lower resale value and is maybe not so appealing for a future buyer.  It is also generally not of the quality of an investment piece and won’t have the longevity or presentation that quality items have.

PRESENTATION IS KEY

To get the best price for your garments, present them so they look their best! Please bring in your items freshly washed, dry-cleaned, ironed, or steamed. We will have a steamer in-store so you can do last-minute touch-ups. Please do not use the steamer in store to do everything from scratch.  It takes too long, blocks up the aisles and makes it hard for people to move around.  We are unable to accept dirty, stained, musty or mothballed clothes or damaged items of clothing.
Think about how you present your garments on your rack. You might want to colour co-ordinate - hang all pants, dresses, tops, or skirts grouped together and have an eye-catching garment facing outwards on each end of your rack.  Space your garments out as best you can so your rack doesn't look too crowded.

TOP-UPS

Once you sell some of your garments, you're welcome to bring in additional items to top up your rack. Please note only 2 top-ups per week and after 11am. Please text us to let us know you are bringing in a top-up so we can have your tags ready.

MATCH THE SEASON

Sell your clothes to match the season. Winter clothes will not sell well in summer and vice versa.

PRICE APPROPRIATELY

It’s important as a seller you get the best price you can, but also be sensible with pricing so your garments actually sell! If it’s brand new with tags (BNWT), you can generally ask just below 50% of the full price. Other garments, it will depend on quality, condition and season. Lovett Store will not accept items priced below $50.00.

DISCOUNTING

If you would like to discount your rack, we recommend doing this in the last week only or last 3-4 days. Discounts can be applied between 10% and 50%. Please advise us by email, text or phone call so we can apply the discount on the platform.

SHARE A RACK

Share a rack with a friend if you don’t feel you have enough garments to fill a rack on your own.  Your friend can be allocated their own client number and can track their own sales. we are also able to pay you separately.

WRITE SHORT & CLEAR DESCRIPTIONS

Write a really clear, short description when you upload your garments to Zellr and keep it as brief as possible. Always start with the brand first e.g. Zimmerman pink floral dress size 10, or Sass & Bide black pants size 12. Colour and brand are particularly important as it makes it easier for us to find garments if they end up on another rack or a tag goes missing.

HOW TO

MAKE A

BOOKING

  • This will take you to Zellr, the booking platform that Lovett Store uses.

  • There are two options:

    Do it yourself: $230 for 14 days with 25% commission

    We do it all: $230 for 14 days with 50% commission

    Note that we have a special offer until the 15th of October for $210 for 14 days.

  • You will then be presented with a calendar – click on the date you want to start.

  • You will be asked to ‘Use existing credentials’. Say yes if you have used Zellr before, no if you’re a new customer. If you have specified ‘No’, you will get a screen to load in your contact details.

  • You will then be taken through to Stripe where you will be asked to pay for your reservation. A reservation is not secured until payment is made.

  • Select Australia, scroll down, and choose Lovett Store.

  • Once logged in, you can select Product Sheets from the menu and start uploading your garments. Each product sheet has 33 entries as that is how many labels are printed per sheet. If you need more, just create a new product sheet.

*Please read before commencing your Rack Rental.

By paying for your Rack Booking, it is assumed you have read and accepted the T’s and C’s.

  • Racks must be booked online www.lovettstore.com.au, or in store and be paid at least one week in advance of your booking. If you need to reschedule or cancel your booking, you must give at least two weeks notice.

    No refunds are given with less than two weeks notice. Lovett Store reserves the right to re-book a cancelled rack.

    You will need to be signed up to our online booking platform Zellr. Through this booking platform, you will be able to upload all your items and track your sales over the course of your 14 day booking period.

  • We take 40 clothing items and 5 pairs of shoes per rack. We will take no more than 1 hat per rack and we will take sunglasses and 2 bags per rack. We will also take belts.

    Accessories won’t be taken independently of a rack booking.

    We won’t accept swimwear, underwear or sleep wear.

    Top-ups can be made as items are sold, but are limited to 2 top-ups per week.

    Please note - No top-ups before 11am each day to allow new rack starters time to hang their clothes and use the steamer.

    Ideally please advise the Store by texting 0450 499 846 when you are coming in to do a top-up so your labels can be printed out for you.

  • All items will be issued with a tag which has a barcode on it. These must be attached to your garment securely, either with the string attached through the brand label or attached with a safety pin. Do not put these tags on a coat hanger, they will go missing, or around a button, or a belt loop.

  • We provide all coat hangers for the racks and these must be used to hang your clothes on the racks.

  • On the final day of your 14-day rental period, please come in and pick up your unsold items – no later than 4pm Monday-Saturday and 3pm Sunday. Late pickups will be charged at $100 per day.

    There is little to no storage at the Store, so if you’re unable to pick up on time, please arrange for someone else to do this on your behalf. We’re a bit like a hotel, you check-out and then another seller comes in the next day for their booking and the rack must be clear.

    Please note - Lovett Store is not responsible for packing up your items - that is the responsibility of the seller and must be done by 4pm.

    Any items not picked up after 7 days at the end of a rack rental booking become the property of Lovett Store and will either be donated to charity or disposed of.

  • Unfortunately from time to time this will happen. We are not unlike any other retail store and occasionally, items may go missing or stolen.

    If an item is stolen or goes missing, Lovett Store won’t take responsibility and unfortunately is unable to compensate you.

  • Payout day will be on Wednesday evening following the end of your rack rental period.

  • Items do not belong to Lovett Store, they belong to the rack owner, so once an item is purchased, the owners booking is updated to reflect a sale, so we’re unable to manage an exchange, return, or refund.

  • We are open 7 days a week.

    10 - 5pm Monday to Saturday and 11 - 4pm on Sunday.

  • Once your items are in-store and on the rack, they can’t be removed to sell on other platforms until your rental reservation period is completed.

  • It is illegal to sell counterfeit goods in Australia and Lovett Store will not accept these in-store to sell. Please don’t hang them on your rack or ask if we will sell them - we can’t.

    Luxury handbags and other goods need to be authenticated before you bring them in, or we will have them authenticated via a third-party at a cost to the seller of $60.00.

  • Lovett Store will accept jewellery to sell, but we reserve the right to choose which items are sold in-store.

    No fine jewellery - costume and luxury jewellery pieces preferred.

  • You are welcome to bring in your garments any time from 10am the day your booking starts. Please bring in everything clean, steamed or ironed. we will have the tags printed ready for you.
